Walnut shaped cookies with caramelized condensed milk
These walnut shaped cookies are pretty and delicious! With caramelized condensed milk it is hard to stop eat them all.
For shortcrust pastry:
7 oz / 200 grams soft butter
3 cups flour
Half cup of sugar
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp vinegar
1 can caramelized condensed milk
To make pastry, whisk 2 egg whites. In separate bowl mix baking soda with vinegar, add the mixture to the egg whites, whisk together.
Mix egg yolks with sugar, incorporate to the egg white mixture.
Gradually add 1 cup of flour. Add soft butter, add 2 cups of flour. Knead the dough. Leave the dough for 15 min.
Roll out the dough. Make walnut shells. Bake the shells for 10-15 min 170 C / 350 F.
Let the shells cool. Fill with caramelized condensed milk, form the walnuts.
