If you want different sauce to accompany your dish, try this plum sauce recipe. It will complement and decorate your dish anew. Plum sauce is perfect for poultry, fish, eggs and vegetables. But you can also spread it on your toast.
2,2 pounds (1 kg) plums
1 cup (200 ml) water
1 tsp basil powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
A pinch of salt
1. Cut plums around the equator in half, discard the pits.
2. Place plum halves in the pot over medium heat, add a cup of water. Bring to the boil, cook about 30 minutes, stirring, until plums are tender and start to break down.
3. Add all the spices. Taste, add more spices if you like, but remember it will be more spicy after it stands in the fridge. Let it cool.
4. Blend the sauce and fill in sterilized jars with cover.
